STORM Heliworks’ main base is located on Frösön, at Åre-Östersund Airport.
From this location in the middle of Sweden, we quickly reach large parts of the country to begin assignments.
We have extensive experience of different types of lifting and construction in both archipelago and forest environments, as well as in urban areas.
With the aid of our specially designed lifting equipment, mobile fuel tanks and expert staff, we are able to ensure effective completion of most types of assignments.
A flying crane
A helicopter is a time and cost effective tool when it comes to lifting, construction and concrete casting. Aerial transportation of material is beneficial for both animal life and the natural environment in general. Helicopter lifting is also the fastest and easiest method where long distances and difficult terrain are involved.
Examples of projects are the construction of various types of masts, the siting of snow cannons and the routing of cables during power line construction work.

We perform shorter lifts, as well as longer lifts, to places hard to reach from ground or when a crane is out of reach.
Many of our customers are astonished by how fast a lift is completed.
STORM Heliworks AB can help you with fast and safe precision lifts, whether you need material up to a mast, or to an place that lacks connecting roads. Material can be transported suspended from the helicopter using our specially designed containers, or carried inside the cabin and cargo space.
Even in places where cranes can be useful, helicopters can be an advantage. In addition to eliminating the ground requirement for setup on site, interference with traffic and impact on the environment and infrastructure will be minimal. The lift capacity of the helicopter is not affected by the distance the object is to be moved, which may be a limiting factor for the reach of a crane, which often is limited after more than 30 meters. Instead of larger cranes, the helicopter becomes an effective tool.

We have the capability to arrange complete solutions for concrete casting, or to quickly transport concrete with our own baskets, from concrete trucks to construction sites. For this type of mission, we fly with double baskets to avoid waiting time, both for the helicopter and the concrete truck when refilling.
