You can find contact information to our bases at the bottom of the page.

THINGS TO KNOW

General

  • Please arrive 20 minutes before your departure time to register and receive a safety briefing. Relatives and friends are welcome to join you.
  • We accept payment by most major credit cards or by Swish. We do not accept cash payment.
  • The temperature in the helicopter is about the same as outside, but if the sun is shining it might get warm in the cabin. Sunglasses are recommended for sunny days.
  • Contact us in advance regarding any luggage. Pack in smaller soft bags, and if possible, avoid larger hard suitcases and boxes.

Accessibility

  • If you or someone in your traveling party needs assistance with a wheelchair or help to get in and out of the helicopter, please contact us in advance so that we can prepare assistance in the best possible way.

Weather

  • Flying is sensitive to weather. Our flights require daylight and good visibility, and will be conducted only when adequate clearance from clouds and known icing conditions are attained. Low clouds, heavy rain, strong winds, and other factors may require us to change the flight route without prior notice or entirely postpone the flight. In case of doubtful weather, we will contact you prior to your booked flight. Final decision for take off may be taken by STORM Heliworks AB a few hours before the intended flight.

Technical parameters

  • Technical issues that influence the safe conduction of flight may require cancellation of the booking. The flight route may need to be adapted to prevailing traffic restrictions from air traffic control in the area concerned.

SAFETY IN AND AROUND THE HELICOPTER

Boarding and disebarking

  • Wait at least 20 m from the helicopter for acknowledgement from the pilot or ground crew before approaching the helicopter, and always approach from the front. The pilot or ground crew will assist you with stowing of luggage. Enter and exit the helicopter in a calm manner, there is never a need to stress.

  • Put your seat belts and headphones on and keep them on during the entire flight.

  • Wait for clearance from the pilot or ground crew before disembarking. The pilot or ground crew operates all doors and manages unloading of luggage.

  • Stay with your luggage at a distance of at least 20 m from the helicopter when it takes off. Carry all items flat around the helicopter, and keep dogs on leash.

  • Be prepared for heavy gusts and possible debris that might blow up near the helicopter. Mind your luggage and hold firmly to any loose items. Never chase or jump after any items which may have blown away.

Headsets

  • Place the mic about half a centimeter from your mouth and speak normally. If you can’t hear yourself when you talk, place the mic closer or speak louder. Some headphones are equipped with a volume knob.

Mobile phones and cameras

  • Flight mode on the mobile phone is not necessary during the flight. If you use cameras with objective lenses, please care for that the lens does not scratch or hit the windows.

Photography

  • Keep in mind that there are regulations on how you can use photo and film material you collect from the air. Pictures or movies may contain sensitive information and permission may be required before distributing them.
Read more about distribution permits here.

Outside the helicopter

  • Make sure to always be in the field of vision of the pilot or ground crew when being close to the helicopter. Consider the terrain and never walk up a slope near the helicopter, approach and depart on the downhill side only. Never approach the back of the helicopter! Always approach and exit forwards unless otherwise instructed.
